Project Description

The project consisted of construction of a new 5 MGD water treatment, and de-commissioning of an existing plant belonging to Missouri-American Water Company in Parkville, Missouri. The new plant was located approximately one mile from the location of the previous plant. Project included:

  • Finished water pump station: 
  • Three 200 hp vertical turbine pumps each with a rated capacity of 2.5 MGD at 140 psi each and two variable speed vertical turbine backwash pumps each with a rated capacity of 9.4 MGD at 23 psi.

  • Circular contact clarifiers 
  • Equalization wastewater storage and pumping 
  • Storm water collection 
  • Flow control structures and valves 
  • Chemical feed systems 
  • Sodium hypo-chlorite
