American Water – New Jersey Mill Road Station Iron Removal Facility

This project includes the construction of a water treatment plant (WTP) at the existing Mill Road Station site. The WTP will include new chemical application facilities, pressure filtration using catalytic oxidation media, backwash wastewater and sludge holding tanks to store and settle. It also consists of decant backwash wastewater for recycling of supernatant with discharge of settled solids to the sanitary sewer, a new chlorine contact detention main, installation of a new well pump, motor, VFD, and a new natural gas powered generator. The new filtration process will be inserted into the process flow stream prior to the air stripper.
