City of Perth Amboy/ Middlesex Water Company Cleaning & Redevelopment of Radial Collector Well

Reynolds was contracted by the City of Perth Amboy and Middlesex Water Company to conduct maintenance on their collector well located in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Maintenance consisted of the mechanical and chemical cleaning and rehabilitation of 826 lineal feet of 10-inch stainless-steel screen distributed in five horizontal laterals. Post-maintenance inspection and testing of the collector indicated the cleaning and rehabilitation techniques employed were successful in restoring lost efficiency and production. Laterals were observed to be clean and free of encrustation and specific capacity of the well was increased by more than 380% following cleaning. Scope of services also included pre- and post-maintenance performance testing of the well complete with lateral flow analysis and underwater diver inspection.
