Project Description

This Design-Build project included the following features. A raw water intake and pumping facility and supply pipeline system to the existing Dunkard Creek WTF was constructed. A treated water pumping and storage facility and piping system from the water treatment facility to the Longview Facility, along with a RO reject pumping station, storage, and piping system to the borehole discharge areas was implemented. The facility waste pumping station and piping system to the borehole discharge area, the integrated SCADA system controlling RWPS, WTF, FWPS functions related to supply and discharge, and overland conveyor clearing and civil work were part of this project. Pipelines, bores and appurtenances for a complete system included 5,470 LF of 30” DIP; 30,400 LF of 24” DIP; 37,536 LF of 12” DIP and PVC SDR18; 10,000 LF of   8” DIP; 7 Cased Bores. Directional Drills 4 each: 1500 LF each of 24” DIP; 12” HDPE & 6” HDPE; 1350 LF each of 24” DIP, 12” HDPE & 6” HDPE; Tanks: 294,000 Gallon Pre-stressed Treated Water Storage Tank; 80,000 Gallon Pre-stressed Reverse Osmosis Reject Water Storage Tank; Miscellaneous: 36,000 LF Fiber Optic 12 Strand Single Mode 1 ¼” Innerduct Cable; 900 feet 4160 Volt Overhead Primary Power Cable with 2 Transformers for WTP Facility; 650 feet 480 Volt Overhead Primary Power Cable with 1 Transformer for the Intake was included in construction.
